Meet Sheila N. Hughes, the visionary founder of Glow Up Counseling & Consulting, LLC. Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Sheila is a proud graduate of Overland High School in Aurora. Her educational journey led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science and Human Services from the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Driven by a passion for helping others, Sheila joined the U.S. Air Force to fund her pursuit of a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During her dedicated service, Sheila achieved remarkable milestones, earning her master's degree from Regis University and an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice through the Community College of the Air Force. Currently serving as the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of her Air Force Reserve Mental Health Team at Scott AFB, IL, Sheila brings a unique blend of military experience and compassionate counseling skills to her practice.

With over a decade of experience as a professional counselor, Sheila specializes in evidence-based treatment practices. Her mission is to guide adults and adolescents on their path to self-fulfillment by uncovering core barriers and facilitating a journey toward a fuller life. Sheila's expertise encompasses various mental health areas, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance abuse, and working with military members.
